SAFT Architecture
SaftArchitecture is a small design and research practice focusing on high performance building design. SaftArchitecture designed and developed the first Louisiana LEED Platinum home outside of New Orleans also one of the first ten PassiveHouse certified homes in the United States and the first in the US hot humid climate zone. The practice is based in Lafayette, LA and has been covered in publications including Scientific American, USAToday, and Architectural Record. Our work can be seen in Passive House Details: Solutions for High Performance Design, The Passivehaus Handbook: A Practical Guide to Constructing and Retrofitting Buildings for Ultra-Low Energy Performance, and Recreating the American Home: The Passive House Approach.
Our work has received LEED Platinum, Enterprise Green Communities, and PassiveHouse certification as well as INDesign and AIA South Louisiana Merit awards, and  Honorable Mention in the Green Housing category Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Awards.
